“FYI man, alright. You could sit at home, and do like absolutely nothing, and your name goes through like 17 computers a day. 1984? Yeah right, man. That’s a typo. Orwell is here now. He’s livin’ large.”

It seems like at least one or two times a year I manage to hear someone say how Orwell was only off by a few years. And you know what? As much as hearing someone say that is like nails on a chalkboard to me, for the most part, they’re totally right. As the days pass into months, our rights are slowly being eroded by our government while the reigns grow ever tighter.

And I don’t like that at all. No sir. Not one fucking bit.

So what can we do to fix it? Well, getting involved in the process is a good start. It doesn’t have to be at the federal level. Hell, it doesn’t even have to be at the state level. Start small if you have to — just start. People have been way too lazy and apathetic for far too long. It’s time to be idealistic. To give a shit.
