If you guys knew that I’ve been interviewing for a job with a really sweet colo facility for the past couple days, you’d probably get a chuckle over the fact that I’ve waited until this very moment to run this shirt. I mean, it’s not like I planned it this way. It just sort of happened, honest.
After being unemployed for the past 2.5 months and having EDD fuck with me over getting my unemployment, the last thing I want to do is denounce work as “for the birds”. Fuck that. I need money. You guys did a really great job of taking care of me when I sent out the call last week, but I actually miss going into an office and doing work. Despite the fact that I’ve been doing some really minor contract work here and there, I have the feeling that I need to be doing something a bit more substantial with my life.
That being said, I love this shirt from the infamous Rob Dobi. It makes me long for a time where I can manage to be self-sufficient and building something for myself instead of other people. Maybe I’ll be able to do that someday. Until I can, I’m just going to try to keep a roof over my head, food in my belly and gas in my tank…

Great shirt, one of my favourite of your recent posts, keep this kind of stuff coming. Is it just me or does it seem to have a real Flowers in the Attic feel to it. Good luck with the job. What’s a “colo facility” anyway?
A colo facility is just another name for a data center. You dig?
So, who was the randomly selected individual who got the $200 in shwag from the call sent out last week?
Dave: That’s actually getting announced tonight.
“So, who was the randomly selected individual who got the $200 in shwag from the call sent out last week?”
How nice, he makes a post about simply trying to keep food in his belly and the first thing you ask is ‘Where’s the money?!’. Kids…
Aaron, what i cared about was the “Hey guys, thanks for all your help. I gave ________ here a year long membership to the 12 month club” blog. I thought it would be a good read.
I gave Jason money because he writes a really good blog, one I enjoyed for months, re-read during the dead spell, and was very happy to see come back.
Threadless already gets MY money, so I wanted to know who else would soon be wearing “Afternoon Delight” or “Pandamonium” or “Flowers in the attic”. Hell, a followup post after they get their shirts seems like a cool thing to do.
Kids… love Preshrunk.
