Argyle Track Jacket

Initially, I was a little conflicted about running this. It is from Old Navy, after all. But my love for all things argyle won out in the end. Besides, I run stuff from Threadless here all the time — and as much as we don’t want to admit it, they’re not really an indie shop anymore.

As somebody who has owned Old Navy track jackets in the past, I can attest to their warmth during the colder days that are just about ready to swoop in and take over for a bit. That’s probably due to the high concentration of polyester in the jacket itself. A 15% cotton, 85% poly blend is sort of par for the course for track jackets tho.

Of course the fantastic Los Angeles weather almost never requires anything heavier than this during the Fall and Winter. What one might define as “chilly weather” normally waffles somewhere between the high 50′s to the low 60′s. And since I don’t ski or snowboard, I don’t actually need anything more resilient.

To be honest, having a track jacket pass for your winter coat is kind of nice. If you don’t live in a climate that allows for that, I kindly suggest you look into moving. Or, you know, buy something that ends up keeping you warm in.

Come to think of it, that’s probably the cheaper solution…
