Obama Torch

September 8th, 2008  |  Published in T-Shirts  |  4 Comments

I normally prefer to stay away from politics here, but I feel like I need to mention these shirts from the collective at ObamaRad. For $12.00, you get a super stylish tee that lets everyone know where you stand politically.

Well, at least I’d hope you were a supporter of Barack Obama if you were planning on buying and rocking one of these bad boys. After all, it’d be sort of silly if you were going to vote for McCain and you managed to buy one anyhow. Especially since 25% of the sale goes to Georgia for Obama. Not 25% of the profit, mind you — $3.00 from the sale of each shirt (and $2.50 from the sale of each $10.00 tee) will chip in to help fund Obama’s campaign in Georgia. And since the state is currently leaning towards McCain in the polls, they need all the help that they can get. Seriously, I’m dreadfully tired after 8 years of Bush doctrine and terror paranoia. We need a change — and we need it now.

Of course, our ideologies might not mix. You might be voting for McCain or Nader or whoever. I might not agree with the fact that you are, but I’m not going to tell you not to. I’m not a pundit, after all. I mean, this is a t-shirt blog, not DailyKos.

Thank goodness you aren’t DailyKos, because I would have to delete your feed in a heartbeat. What a bunch of puerile reprobates.

One would be a myopic fool not to recognize many of the reasons why someone would refuse to vote for Obama, just as one would be a fool not to realize why some do.

I implore you not to let conclusion define your rhetoric and reasoning.

This Obama shirt is cool. We launched an Obama and McCain shirt competition on Collar Free and have had some cool designs as well. Obama seems to get more submissions, but we are trying to stay independent.

E.T.: Everyone has their own personal preferences. People might not agree with Obama’s policies or record as a member of the US Senate. I get that.

What I said might have come off as myopic, but I was merely trying to avoid getting off on a rant. I’m editing the entry after taking what you’ve said into consideration. Thanks for the input.

It has indeed been QUITE difficult to find an attractive, affordable Obama shirt. I’m thrilled that I can grab these up AND support Obama in Georgia! It’d be quite a victory to win that state over.
