I’ll beat everyone to the punch and run this shirt before I go and get a couple dozen suggestions for it littering my inbox.
In case you forgot, I sort of read BoingBoing too. And by sort of read, I mean completely obsess over. And by completely obsess over, I mean that it sort of makes my junk a bit rigid while I’m reading it1. But that’s neither here nor there, right?
So, uh, yeah… This one goes out to all the vaguely political graphic design geeks in the house. By cleverly using drop shadows and negative space, the crew at Playground of the Stars managed to make both a firm statement and a pretty fashionable design.
What can I say? I like it — and I don’t even like word tees normally. So I guess that’s says something, doesn’t it?
- Chub only occurs whenever I read Xeni‘s posts. Although admitting that here will probably make it sort of akward the next time I run into her. I mean, the LA scene is sort of small. *shrug* Oh well. It’s out there now, isn’t it?
P.S. Thinking about buying this shirt? You might want to think again after reading this post.

wow, this is so dope. satisfies my loony liberalness and my geeky type obsession. just bought one. are these guys good for shipping shirts quickly?
I ordered one of these shirts too… I think it is a scam. I have emailed the guy/girl and I get no response. It has been well over a week and I have heard nothing.
I haven’t had mine yet and I paid 4 weeks ago. :( I emailed but haven’t had a response. I’m just hoping it’s taking a while to get to the UK but it’s a bit annoying. I just wish they’d answer their emails….
I ordered mine around 18/19 April. Emailed to follow up and got a reply saying he hadn’t expected such a big response and was having delays getting hold of more tees. Mailed again today, message bounced back and the website is no longer accessible. I like to think the best of people but I’m feeling really disappointed – it looks like it may well have gone pear shaped. Gutted.
I GOT MY SHIRT! After a few emails and whatnot everything got sorted out. He even sent it express mail. I feel bad not because he spent 14 bucks on shipping. Im sure after adding in the cost of the shirt and the screenprinting I doubt he made any money.
I got my t-shirt too! I got pissed off and emailed saying I would reclaim the money from my credit card in 3 days if I didn’t get an email. I didn’t get an email, started the chargeback, but my t-shirt arrived 3 days later. I suspected that he’d had a big response, and I wouldn’t have had a problem with that all, if he’d just bloody emailed! But no worries, it came though, so I cancelled the chargeback. It’s a nice t, by the way. :)
I’m still waiting on mine, ordered it the first week of this month…no word yet.
so whats up with these people? i ordered two shirts, 4 weeks ago, and haven’t seen anything yet.
Ordered my shirt June 30, have yet to receive it or any sort of reply to my emails.
If it’s truely a matter of the guy being overwhelmed, a simple email would’ve sufficed.
Guess it’s time to dispute charges and make sure Christopher Otto doesn’t bring in more payments for shirts he can’t produce.
