Oh Floater, I’m so very conflicted over you…
You’re a sexy beast of a shirt, I’ll give you that. But could you be any more expensive? I mean at the current US exchange rate you’re over $42.00, shipped. And after looking at that price point, I know that I shall never own you.
The fact that you don’t come in any good fatty friendly sizes also makes me weep a few emoesque tears of sorrow — but they’re nowhere near as bad as the sobbing fit that my otherwise barren bank account would have if I were to snatch you up like I want to.
It’s a shame too… You were one of the first “too much shit going on at once” designs that I really could have fallen in love with. *shrug* It wasn’t in the cards, I guess.
If you’re rich enough, be my guest — I’m out on this gold digger, kids.

In the UK £20 is cheap for a t-shirt like this. We routinely pay £30 or £35 for a t-shirt in the high street shops, if it’s made by a reasonably good brand – say Boxfresh or something – more if it’s a proper “designer” brand. And I’ve never seen anything in a size larger than XL. Just an observation.
if the design is making you happy, you could always get the “floater” sticker…not as comfy as a tshirt, but a lot cheaper!
Paul: Oh, I know it’s cheap by UK standards — but I live under the oh so weak US dollar. Then again, I bet some of those $10.00 and $15.00 shirts must seem like a steal on that side of the pond. So long as the shipping doesn’t kill you, that is… ;)
emmbee: You’ve got a good point, chief. Perhaps I’ll do just that.
We tried to make our shirts as cheaply as possible, which, being in the U.K aint easy. Production costs are about triple if not more than in the states. We looked into getting them printed over there but was beaten back in whimpering retreat by the customs charges. We could have found certain ways to make them cheaper, but it’s important to for us to keep our shirts ethical.
It’s early days for us yet, but a future plan is to get some made over in the states purely for U.S. distribution as it really bothers us that some american customers are currently priced out from buying our stuff.
Great site by the way, and thanks for the kind words.
Mik: Thanks for the heads up! I know of a fulfillment house or two in the States that could probably help you when the time comes to flip the switch on distribution over here.
