I run the risk of having Sarah be disapointed in me for running this shirt1, but I actually happen to enjoy it. In fact, I’m rocking it right now. And while I may be sort of broke and unemployed, I’ve kind of got a retarded amount of Threadless Street Team points. So being able to get it in my grubby little hands less than a week after it went on sale wasn’t that hard.
But why do I like it? Let’s just say that there’s something about this shirt’s Lupo The Butcher meets The Little Mermaid and then and turns her into sushi concept that strikes a chord with me. Hell, I’ll even let the fact that it’s on a natural shirt — which I’m normally not all that partial to recommending, let alone wearing — slide.
P.S. If you don’t like this shirt as much as I do, Electromagnetic Spectrum is pretty sweet too.
- Seeing as how she’s told me that she doesn’t really care for it all that much.

Yeah, feelings tend to be mixed on this one. I don’t personally have a problem with it–I think I’d even wear it (though not around my younger siblings), but I can see where different people take issue with it.
I think that if the colors would have been removed further from reality (say, blue hair and splatters, and greeny skin or something), fewer people would have a problem, as it would be more definitively fantasy. But, who knows.
hmm.. yuck.
Ummm…I just like mermaids, ok? That’s why I only buy mermaid safe tuna.
I WILL eat the fuck out of some dolphins though.
Hahahah.. “eat the fuck out of some dolphins” is my new fav out of context quote.
This does answer the question:
Do mermaids bleed yellow?
Yes. Yes they do.
Like Jason, though I’m not big on the “natural” tees. They look dirty. like you’ve been wearing it for months, hanging around a bunch of smokers, and sweating profusely.
Not really sure if there is a better color for this design though.
