While I’m still not quite sure if I’m into Apes + Androids music just yet, I’m fairly certain that I’m into their Simon Noynay designed tee, Psychedelic Ambush.
Simon’s the chap behind my most favorite Threadless tee ever — which has long since been out of print — as well as a bunch of other great shirts that most of you have probably seen around a lot of the usual online shops.
Anyhow, the band is worth a listen [Warning: MySpace] if you’re into post-DFA new wavey electro punk. I probably did them a bit of a disservice with that description — but I really don’t know of any other way to describe their sound. Any Pitchfork wannabes care to call it for me?
