Remember when I used to update this site all the time? Yeah, me too. Sometimes I wonder what the fuck happened. I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way.
I could give you all some sort of grand excuse as to where I’ve been — like hunting zombies in Nicaragua — but what I’ve actually been up to is pretty unglamourous. Mostly I’ve been sitting around, scratching my ass and feeling burnt out. It’s not that I don’t love you anymore — it’s just that work and my personal life left me feeling too tired at the end of the day to want to do anything other than read my feeds and turn off my computer. And when you have an itch to write but no motivation to do so, that really sucks.
But enough about my disappearing act. Let’s just talk about the shirt, alright? This tee is my polar opposite. I don’t have to stomach LA at all. I love this town, warts and all. Sure there are some really shitty parts that I wish we could just start over on — Hollywood Blvd., I’m looking your way, you shithole of a tourist trap — but I otherwise wouldn’t have it any other way.
Still, the haters and people who haven’t found something to love are out there. So this shirt is for y’all. Enjoy it, yo.

Welcome back! :D Oh, and that is a really cool captcha! Helping to digitize books while stopping spam bots… awesome.
Joe: Thanks! It’s good to be back! I’m pretty psyched about the CAPTCHA too. It makes comment moderation way less of a headache and keeps Akismet from having to work as hard as it used to. The digitizing books thing is just icing on the cake.
Sweet, glad to see you’re back. Please don’t give up on this site–you’re a great writer.
Oh, snap! I totally had no idea which captcha you were talking about at work until I saw it here. That’s pretty cool. I might have to grab it myself too since it’s only a matter of time until the spambots find my humble little site…
